A Distillery District Wedding
@ Arta Gallery
On April 4th friends and family gathered to celebrate Naomi & Jay’s love. Back in January I had the pleasure to shoot their engagement session. We ended up with some beautiful photos that really captured who they are as a couple. You can view all the photos over on my blog here.
In the early morning I arrived at the hotel where Naomi, her bridesmaids, and her and Jay’s moms were getting ready. It was a beautiful apartment style room with two floors. It was a nice way to start off the day, everyone was relaxing while one girl got their hair/makeup done. They popped some sparkling juice and Naomi surprised her bridesmaids with coach wristlets as thank you gifts. Later on I headed to Naomi and Jay’s house where the groomsmen were getting ready. The groomsmen surprised Jay with a fancy, aged scotch where they gave a toast, watched some of the baseball game, and begun to get ready.
The ceremony and reception was held at the beautiful Arta Gallery in The Distillery District. It was a bit of a DYI wedding where friends and family helped to create the beautiful day. The bridesmaids pooled together to create a beautiful paper wall where they exchanged their vows in front of. Naomi’s sister Claire baked and decorated the beautiful cake (along with the help of the rest of their siblings).
As busy a wedding can be, I still had a fantastic time capturing the love between not only the couple, but the friends and family that surrounded them on their special day. There was so much happiness and love that day, and I couldn’t get enough. I hope through my photos that you can see how wonderful Naomi & Jay’s wedding was, and how beautiful their love is. I wish them all the best in their future together.
