Indian Sangeet in Toronto –
I don’t even know where to begin with explaining this wedding. This will be the first of two blog posts because Marissa & Moez had not one, but two fabulous ceremonies. It was such an amazing weekend of weddings enriched with lots of culture and family traditions. A huge thank you to the amazing Erin Leydon for asking me to second shoot alongside her again.
Before this I haven’t photographed any weddings with a distinct religious background, especially any where there are very specific traditions. The first night of Marissa & Moez’s wedding was a traditional indian sari’s.
It was absolutely gorgeous! There were so many food stations where the chefs cooked right in front of you. There were also henna stations, a photobooth, a bangle station, and a station where guests could get their hair braided. Everyone looked amazing in their traditional indian dresses. It was such a bright and colourful wedding.
There were so many fabulous dance routines done by the bride and grooms friends, cousins, siblings, and parents. Which all turned into a giant dance party. It was such a fun night to photograph, and I’m so thankful to have been a part of it.
