3 Tips for your Engagement Session

I know the thought of an engagement session could be overwhelming, but don’t stress! I’m here to help!

1. Relax!
It’s easier than you think…all you have to do is show up and interact with each other.
Of course there will be some direction or guidance, but since I’m primarily a documentary photographer that’s all I’ll be doing…documenting.

2. I’ll never make you do something that makes the two of you uncomfortable.
If you don’t want to kiss for a photo, that’s totally fine.
If you don’t want to hold each other a certain way, because it’s not comfortable for you that’s fine.
There’s plenty more to an engagement shoot than kissing, and snuggling anyways!

3. Have fun!
The most important part about the session is that you and your partner have fun and get to know each other a little more.
I want you to be able to look back on the photos and remember how much you enjoyed each other and your pre-wedding bliss.

TIP: Plan a date around your engagement session.
This makes the day extra special and meaningful. Go check out that brewery you’ve been dying to try, or do dinner and a movie afterwards.
